Perry Village has mandatory filing of income tax. Effective January 1, 2009, the Regional Income Tax Agency (R.I.T.A.) will begin collecting municipal income tax for the Village of Perry. A letter was sent to Perry Residents and Businesses with details. You view or print a copy of that letter.

When you renew your license plates be sure that Perry Village is on your registration. We receive revenue to use towards upkeep of our roads through the license tax.
The Contractor's Registration Ordinance require all contractors to register with the Village if the total amount of work done in the Village has a dollar amount of $10,000 or greater, and the work requires a building/ zoning permit. The permit fee is $35. Our Village requires this fee to track larger companies doing business in the community for taxing purposes. It had become almost impossible to collect legitimate tax money due our Village from some contractors doing work here. We will now be able to compare the registration list with records sent to us by the County Building Department, our own Zoning Department, and the yearly report coming from the R.I.T.A. It should be noted that all earned income from all service people doing business in our Village are obligated to pay the Perry Village Income Tax whether they are obligated to register or not. The Income Tax Ordinance in Perry Village is almost identical to all other such ordinances of municipalities throughout northeastern Ohio.
